Clinical observation about 122 neonates of elderly primiparas above 35 years old was atte-
mpted on 19,927 neonates, who were delivered at II Sin Women’s Hospital during 3 years
from January 1979 to December 1980.
Incidences, birth characteristics, maternal history and perinatal complications were compared-
with control group of neonates of primiparas under 35 years old.

55 cases of anorectal anomalies were admitted to Busan National University Hospital and
Il Sin Women’s Hospital during the period of Jan. 1976 through Dec. 1981.

1. Males were affected more frequently than females by a 3 : 1 ratio.

Clinical and statistical observations were performed on 182 cases who were received blood
exchange transfusions at II Sin Women’s Hospital from January, 1978. to December, 1980.
The results are as follows:
1. Among 1534 case of neonatal jaundice, the exchange transfusion was performed on 182
cases (8.4%).
2. The most predominant etiologies of exchange transfusion were ABO incompatibility (37.4
%) and prematurity(20.9%).
